Just Popping In!!

***Some Affiliate Links are used in this post at no extra cost to you!!

 Hey friends!!

Just popping in with some cards that I have that I am going to enter into some challenges.

My first card I am entering into a couple challenges.

I created this card with a TON of Spellbinders dies. I mixed the Welcome Fall Die Set with the Rustic Garden Dies and mixed in some die cuts from Garden Images and Seasonal Decor Dies. The sunflower was a leftover on my desk from The Greetery. This card was so much fun to create!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges-The All Sorts Challenge #750-Texture, Just Us Girls Challenge #701-Pumpkin, Inspire. Create Challenge #153-Autumn/Halloween and The Card Concept #200-Autumn Chill.

I had fun using the Classic Hessian embossing folder from Crafter's Companion for the background. I used Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the top and distressed the edges with a Distress Tool

I am also going to upload a couple of cards I have not posted that I created for a private FB Challenge board and for The Retro Rubber Challenge #217-Anything Goes. I created them using stamps that I have had in my stash for a while but have never used!!

Both cards are retirement cards.

I had a lot of fun creating the ocean in the background of this card. The images used are from the Lets Get Away Stamps/Dies from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink.

I used Copic Markers to create the sand and to color in the Adirondack chair.

For my second retirement card, I used the Simon Says Stamp Seas and Greeting stamps/dies.

Again, I created the ocean using a combination of ripped pattern paper and some white paint. The "beach" is a scrap of pattern paper.

Behind the panel, I used a stencils that looked like netting and my favorite part of this card is the torn clouds.

Well, that is all for today. I want to thank you for taking the time stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

There is Still Time to Play at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #579

Hey Friends!!!

Just popping in with a reminder that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #579. This round is a COLOR challenge.  It is to use the colors BURNT ORANGE, GREEN and SKY BLUE on a project.

The challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #579 is below:

This week I used an image from Laurie Furnell Ink. She generously donated the Autumn Mouse Digital Stamps for the Design Team to use.

For my card, the mouse and the leaves were from the digital stamp set. I colored them in with Copic Markers and then cut each image out.

I covered the A2 card front with pattern paper and layered a panel of paper that I used some Distress Ink to ink blend a sky and some "grass."

I stamped a small sentiment and adhered the leaves, the mouse and a stamped sunflower to the background.

To see more information about the challenge and to see the other projects the design team created, hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Autumn Blessings for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Today is my turn for some CAS-ual Fridays inspiration over at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog. We were asked to make a fall card and I chose to use the "Acorn Fri-dies" as my focal point and a sentiment from the matching "Autumn Blessings" stamp set.

I kind of am addicted to die cutting right now and am trying to use scraps of patterned paper as much as I can. I chose red and orange as my leaf colors because these are my favorite colors on fall trees. My neighbor across the street has a tree that has leaves that turn that exact orange!!

I chose to stamp and then fussy cut the "blessing" sentiment so I could make it part of the grouping rather then use a strip.

I added the little heart from the "Fun-Fetti Fri-dies" because it was sitting on my desk and I thought it would looked nice over the green. Besides, I don't think I have made a card lately that doesn't use this die set!! I think it is one of my all-time favorites!! (and I have A LOT of dies.)

I hope I have inspired you to create some Autumn cards of your own. If you are interested in giving yourself a shopping spree, use my code nora2017 to get an extra 15% off your purchase at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store.

I thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!!

Time Out Challenge, Marker Pop!, NBUS Challenge and I want to be a Superstar!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you are all enjoying your day. Char and I have the day off for the Jewish holiday. I have had time to do things like go to the gym, have breakfast with Char and my father, and do some chores around the house. I could go for Mondays off all year!!

Today I am posting a card that I finished last night. I received my new My Favorite Things "Harvest Mouse" set this week and I had a chance to play with it yesterday. I am entering it into My Favorite Things "You Could be a Card Design Superstar"contest.

I made a "peek a boo" card with it. First I die cut a space on the card front. I then stamped the leaves, the second mouse and all the leaves. As I was doing this, I decided to leave the elements in the front just black and white. I wanted to use Copic markers to color and as this was basically a one layer card, I did not want the coloring to show through. My happy medium was to color the mouse that would be peeking from the inside of the card.

I stamped the mouse onto the die cut that I had cut from the front and used Copic markers to color him in. Isn't he cute? I did some "dot" coloring on him after I was finished. I used both Copic and gel markers for that. I have done it on my monsters that I have colored before but doing it here was an experiment. I am not sure how I feel about it.

When I finished coloring in the mouse, I adhered him to the inside of the card.

I then stamped a simple sentiment from the same set inside. I wasn't sure if I wanted to decorate the inside or not but decided I liked it simple and clean. I know that this kind of card I would write things on the inside and by leaving it clean, there is more room to do so.

Again, I am entering this into the My Favorite Things "You Could be a Card Superstar!" contest.

I am also entering this into Marker Pop!'s #77 Fall/Autumn Challenge. This is the first time I have ever entered a challenge here and it makes me nervous!!

Another challenge I am entering it into is Darnell's NBUS #5 Challenge. Since these stamps and dies are brand new, this counts!! (I think!) And am entering the Time Out Challenge #39-"Make Your Mark."

I don't usually enter so many challenges at once but this card just happens to fit the bill!! I thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!!
